Season zero is definitely interesting but as far as if you would miss anything by skipping it you wouldn’t. The 1998 Yu-Gi-Oh is in its own era separate in most parts from duel monsters and everything that came after. So you don’t really have to watch it and that's why i told you to skip it and go straight to DM. but if you are interesting enough it’s not that long and it will be really interesting to see your reaction to the OG vision of yugioh. and how Toei adapted the earliest parts of the manga before the duel monster adaptation if you watch it after finishing the first DM arc!
