Curious to see where this goes if they're opening up to each other just like that. Emma with the "I love you!" is one thing but Ame admitting to her face she's keeping her at arm's length out of fear she'll ruin things is, y'know, pretty concrete, right? Not unless one of them runs out the room anyway.

Also I think Emma's being super unfair here tbh (in a perfectly normal, human way dealing with powerful emotion, I mean). If Ame *did* only think of this as a fwb situation that's not really her fault that Emma failed to communicate her intent or that she wouldn't "do that with anyone." ATM, she's acting like Ame's responsible for not falling into the girlfriend role as fast as Emma wanted. I reiterate that this is just normal human misunderstanding and not me getting huffy because "ooh these characters are so annoying why can't they be perfectly rational all the time!" Let alone that *we* know Ame is down bad for Emma.

Yeah, tbf it's pretty normal to get heated and emotional when things are not what we expect. Even if she's a psychologist she's still in her right to "overreact". We all have traumas lol. However, they are talking like responsile adults at least
