Update:

tldr; Blender simulations are ass, so I'm learning the most difficult software money can buy for the highest quality nut simulations

very slow progress has been made on the current project. I have been taking the time to learn the basics of Houdini (VFX Software) which is notoriously the most complicated 3D software for consumers, while also being definitively the best VFX software available.

I am learning it because Blender's simulations are very annoying to work with and have caused me multiple days of clicking "Simulate" to try to fix very annoying visual bugs that keep constantly occuring

(that being said, I most likely won't be using it for the next 2 releases, the learning curve is extremely steep and requires learning a pretty arbitrary coding language that is exclusive to the software)


Tldr; attempting to upgrade shader appearance/visuals

since I am already taking the time to focus on learning, I have also been trying to look into ways I can improve on my current shader!

you may have noticed some subtle changes over the past year of small improvements to the way the characters in each video looks, and I believe I can improve the visuals even more. I have found possible solutions to strange problems i've come across with lighting that could mean I have more space to add additional things!
