Massive Update! Barista Game/Anim/Nyuru Announcement (Patreon)
Content
Hey there!
I've been wanting to make this post all week, but I'm just sitting down now to get it out to you. TL;DR at the bottom.
Update time! I've been absent the last week, so I could take time to chill out and develop some stuff for the Nyuru animations coming up. I find that so relaxing and still productive. I'll attach some of those watercolor/concepts here too.
I don't know how detailed I've been, but I'll go ahead and just start giving out information for everything going on right now. I'll also attach some screenshots for progress! :D
So I've been developing 3D environments for Barista3, as I'd like to start using them to make backgrounds easier to produce. Not all backgrounds, but just take the brunt of the work off of me so I can animate faster! The attached shots have those elements (Still WIPs so don't worry if they don't look completed! They aren't!) @Cavitees has been working with me to help. This is for an expansion+transformation-themed, dating simulator. It features 5 characters, 4 of which will TF or expand/grow. We're playing with it so we can get the method down to make BB3 easier to produce! Hope you like it. I've started the Sophia elements already so I shared some of those. There are like at least (??) 40+ elements/screens total so it's not a huge game , but it's not small either, and it'll be hot and fun to play with until bb3 is done! Just something to use the elements and test to make sure we're not wasting our time. :)
That being said, BB3 is still under way. I've put more effort into what I'm calling the "Morph-A-Date" sequences, which will use the same background method. I storyboarded out the first sequence and look forward to seeing what you guys think of it. They shouldn't take nearly as long as everything else since it's just animating on my end and they're meant to be faster, hotter sequences that aren't as intensive as Barista or Nyuru. :)
I've been also developing a lot of the music that will go into these projects, so that's also been taking up some time. I'm playing the bass guitar as well as keyboards and percussion for them so it'll be a nice mix. It's been satisfying to pull off.
The Edwardian size animation is still in progress. I imagine it has somewhere around 30 or 40 hours left in it to finish it. It's tough to balance everything to get it done, but I'll let you guys vote on what happens next so we can have some executive direction from the paying crowd. :)
TL;DR = Things are happening
- The Barista series is going like this currently : Making 3d backgrounds using Cavitees to get the BaristaDatingSim out and Morph a Date sequences to practice using the method. Ultimately moving to Barista3.
-The Edwardian animation is moving forward, just at my own pace since I'm the only once able to work on that. It's got maybe 30-40 hours left in it.
- Nyuru will be having a series of a handful of linked episodes. The drafting is complete, storyboarding is underway. Concepting will resume. :)
- You guys will still get requests/loops until these things are done. :)
-A post will be following this with all the sketching I've been doing last week so you can have some sort of art so far. haha.
I know it seems like I'm dragging with work and output, but it just takes a lot of setting up to make sure everything runs smoothly and to ensure we're setup for having a larger group to help make things faster. If we fuck around now and don't take time to make things organized, they'll fall apart later when we really need it to work.
So it's just a transitioning period. A lot of the progress is behind the scenes and it's been so exciting seeing it all come together from my perspective, but I know it's hard for you guys to keep up when I don't have things presentable yet. But we'll be solving that soon. I'd like to have the dating sim done by the end of the month, and then we'll be knocking things out pretty smoothly from there. I'd rather surprise you guys early than say it'll be done before I know it will be done. I hated that about Barista2. :)
As always, please voice your concerns or complaints below. I'm open to criticism as long as it isn't rude or unreasonable. I'm always here for input. Thank you for your patience. Obviously none of this would be able to be done without the funding from Patreon/Gumroad. Thank you kindly. NOW BACK INTO THE SADDLE.
