As I said from last month, I want to create better artworks this month in order to cover for the decreased quality in July because of my art block so I tried something new in this piece. I want it to be done sooner but although I started on August 4, it still took 10 days to finish... Well, It can't be helped then. Anyway, I tried some angles that I have never done before and changed the color palette so the character can blend perfectly into the environment. It's quite a challenge but I nailed it somehow. I thought I was going to fail because the setting of the piece is very hard to find suitable ideas for the background but luckily I have it by the last hours. Even though there are not many objects in this piece, they still look great with the character. This is something new to me and I want to try more next month.

That is it for the test this month. Next piece will be pretty normal but I will draw Senchou so it's not normal anymore.

Ah, I will have to go out of town for a few days to buy new equipment. My chair broke so It gave me terrible back pain while I was drawing this piece. I have to buy a new one as soon as possible. Anyway, because of that, next piece will be finished pretty late so please wait for me a bit more.

Nice work! This illustration looks beautiful! The blue background works surprising well given the bar/casino theme. I like it a lot. I also love the squatting pose and outfit you gave her. It can lead to lots of different possibilities if you know what I mean hehe. Good luck finding a chair to help with your back, I hope you feel better really soon!

Is that a Witcher sword stuck in that skeleton? Amazing. The rapier looks familiar too, but I can't place it. What did that poor Deadbeat do... This piece is beautiful. I agree that you nailed the colors. I appreciate your integration of plants into your backgrounds, even if it's just a little bit, they're so nice to look at, and the candles pop against the blues of the rest of the background. Got that melting wax nailed down too. I would buy a visual novel illustrated by you in a heartbeat. The environmental storytelling would be amazing, and the sprites gorgeous. And of course Calli herself is very pretty. You always seem to do her justice with your renders. I think there is definitely enough going on in the background to complement her pose and highlight her in the center; like, there are enough textures and objects here and there but the center is like a stage where she's the star. I'm excited to see what you try next month; I'm sorry to hear about your chair, though. It's a real pain when our tools break. Especially when it's...literally a pain...heh...eh... Anyway, I hope this has helped you with your art block! I can imagine that the stimulation of experimentation is a good way to get around that and get your creativity flowing again. Thank you ! Everyone loves bunnies, don't they ? Actually it's from her MV but I just take the basics. This is my first time trying this kind of color and this pose as well. I failed pretty many times before so I am very glad that you like it ! And yeah, I hope I can get one soon because my back is giving up on me lol.

Actually, she stabbed us many times in her MVs you know lol. And thank you, I tried pretty many things in this one but gladly it turned out okay. A visual novel sounds not bad really haha. You are right about the composition. It's very hard to make things just as you said and I agree that it's lucky that I made it this time because with composition like that it's very hard to find background ideas. About next month, It will be an art block again but I will find something new to try ! New setting is what I am training now, you know. Yup, back pain sucked T.T Thank you for taking your time to give me a long comment. I am trying to reboost myself with a new setting in order to create something interesting. It helps to cease art block a lot ! Let's look forward to my future illustrations !
