How are you all doing today?

Today is supposed to feel like -31°C here! So I’m definitely staying indoors today, haha! 🥶🥶

We've been getting gloomy weather for the past couple of weeks, so I’m pleasantly surprised to see the sun in the past few days! While it’s freezing outside, at least I can enjoy the sun from inside. ☀️

I want to show you what I’ve been up to the past couple of days! I wanted to try traditional painting, so I took the time to use my acrylics and paint a small portrait! 🧡

When I was in school, acrylics were always my favourite medium, and then when I discovered digital painting, it was game over. I fell in love with digital painting and never looked back. It feels like that scene in Toy Story where Andy doesn’t want to play with Woody anymore haha 

However, I’ve rekindled those feelings this new year, slowly easing my way back to it! 🥰🥰

I never realized how much I enjoyed the process of mixing and blending the colours! 🥰 Although, I have to admit I keep wanting to flip the canvas. There’s no way around it, haha 😅

It’s been a while since I opened my shop, so I will be preparing for a shop update at the beginning of March this month! It’s going to be a large update, and I’ll also be selling a lot of last-chance prints! 😊

SKETCHBOOK Prompt Challenge

Here's a quick rundown :

Here are the rules:

1. At the beginning of the month, I will create a poll for the sketchbook page prompt. i.e. pets, places, underwater sea creatures, witches, botanicals, etc. You can vote on which theme you’d like to draw or see! The one with the majority votes is the prompt of the month!

2. Fill the sketchbook page or draw a single image with the winning prompt! Feel free to use any medium! Don’t be afraid to make those messy/ “ugly” sketches!! Pressuring yourself to complete this challenge is strictly prohibited! 🙅‍♀️

3. Once you’re finished, send it to my email at artofmaxinevee@gmail.com, or I will also add a drop dropbox link here

4. By the end of the month, I will create a post with all the submitted sketches, including mine here! 🥰
