Hi Patrons! 🤍

Here’s my newest painting: “Remnants of Yesterday.”  🦢✨ I really enjoyed painting this piece! Vintage illustrations and old fairy tale books inspired me to create this piece! I love looking at old drawings on Pinterest, especially the ones with Goose Girl. I wanted to replicate the look and incorporate some elements into this piece by adding them to the wallpaper/backgrounds of the room. 😊

Surprisingly, my favourite part of this piece is painting the swans! 🦢 I’m always looking for ways to convey the object without adding too much detail. I always admire the painterly look of environment painters, so I try my best not to outline everything and rely on my brushstrokes to convey the shapes and forms of what I want to portray. Instead of painting every feather, I use a mix of gradients and shadows to represent the shapes of the wings.

I’ve attached the timelapse video of the beginning of the painting and then transferred the rest of the file to Photoshop. I’m still trying to get the hang of using Procreate entirely, but I find that working in Photoshop makes me work much faster due to all the other tools.

Also, I’m in my Princess-fairytale-mood era right now because that’s all I’ve wanted to paint these days, haha! 😅👑 I hope you like this piece!

This is a reminder that the shop closes on December 1st! The last day to shop is November 30th! 🛍️

Celestial Library is restocked, but they are listed as B grade prints since the back design is a little damaged due to colour discolouration (the front is completely fine). However, I put a discount on them!
