Hello Patrons! 

I thought I should share some very rough sketches of the first two witchtober pieces! I really want to do 3-4 this month so I’ll be working on that after I’m back from Lightbox! 🧡

I always feel a little embarrassed sharing my sketches since they never look “polished” or “clean” haha they’re always a bundle of mess.

The first piece I want to paint is inspired by the Arno river in Florence! I really want to capture the magical dawn colours. I’m having a little trouble with this piece since I still want to capture the sense that it’s set in autumn so I might have to do more sketches. 🧡🍂

The second piece is inspired by the bamboo forests in Japan. I really want to try painting a forest with lanterns! This one will be more mystical and fantastical compared to the first piece!

Although I’m really excited about painting these pieces, I always find the sketching phase to be the most challenging!
