For today's Mermay, I wanted to paint a mermaid that's inspired by period dramas and the countryside! I wanted to illustrate a story around this girl who's secretly a mermaid living in this idyllic manor. I even made a mockup book cover! 😝

I made this piece with Procreate and transferred it to Photoshop so I was able to record half the process on Procreate with the timelapse video!
