Give the girls a break....11 of them had covid and they filmed this literally the day after they were cleared. Understandable the enemy mightve been a little low

Yeah, this stage also feels empty bc...well actually, are you planning on watching the series in full? I don't want to spoil anything but there's a huge reason why the feeling of the stage is a little off

Oh ok, so they filmed the group intros and the teaser intros but then they all got covid. This caused them to not be able to perform this ptt stage when everyone else did in front of an audience. At the end of the round, even though they by default placed last for round 1 bc they couldnt compete, all the other groups agreed to let them perform the stage on stage even tho they wouldnt get any points or votes. I'm guessing that small group of audience were prob just staff and workers. Its why the performance feels kinda empty

So editing-wise, there's no inserts of the other groups reacting, no crowd reactions (and crowds are allowed to yell as you'll see from the other rd 1 stages), etc

Aww man that’s rough :( We were referring to the EQ of the bass when we said ‘empty’ though! Didnt have to do with the girls’ performance, just the pre and post production on the engineering side.

Mnet sound is weird and honestly.i think Kevin is right about it being mixed post prod..if you watch some of the fancam videos it's a totally different sound mix. But who knows, this stage was a very unique situation.

Some info I read on the LOONA subreddit - the stage they're performing on for this song is also not the same stage they initially practiced for (which is apparent in the practice video). This is the stage for round 2, whereas round 1's stage was bigger. Also I think they had to film this while also in the middle of prepping for round 2? Gotta be stressful!

I don’t think crowds have been allowed to yell yet though, they said the cheers were pre-recorded? I think they can only clap And I also think they’re watching the full version on YouTube so the basic of comparison would still be the same as compared to the other full versions! But yeah totally could tell that COVID took a toll on LOONA’s energy bc I felt the dancing was a bit off (However the fact they managed to present this right after they had COVID is AMAZING…I would’ve still been coughing non-stop if I had to perform after recovering LOL) So proud of them for pushing through😩😩😩

Me, manifesting a reaction to VIVIZ’s round 1 stage 😩😩 Because it made me bawl my eyes out (and I still tear up every time I watch it) and before that literally the only GFRIEND song I knew was MAGO LOL…it truly moved fans and non-fans alike😭

One thing I noticed about the choreo for this performance is that Mnet's wild filming made the choreo seem too chill, because I totally had the same thought you both did at the end, that their choreo looked too graceful and calm. But if you watch the full cam version that just widely films the whole stage, their choreo looks a lot better. It's just the contrast of the camera zooming and moving everywhere with the choreo that makes the dancing look a little looser.

I was just watching the behind the scenes commentary on YouTube and apparently Kim Lip actually learned how to play the daegeum! (Even though she's not actually playing it in the performance itself lol)

I like how this remix makes the song has more Korean traditional instruments in it (although the string part feel a little bit out of place for me). I still prefer the original version and choreo better...Loona still did great.
