From what I have read, this was the comeback that (G)Idle wanted to release last year, but Cube demurred. Not sure if the whole "trilogy" thing and overall concept thing was true then as well, but might explain only really having 3 new songs on I Trust. They kinda had to scramble to fill it out.

If I recall, the trilogy thing came from Soyeon talking about how the songs were connected to each other.
