One thing you said about toplines was interesting to me - I'm a music major-turned-producer and while I still appreciate all the original stuff that drew me to kpop like unique chord progressions and genre blending, I've lately been very much appreciating songs that just have satisfying but unexpected toplines (even over fairly run-of-the-mill chords)
