Just saw this lol TVXQ (or Tohoshinki) is still pretty huge in Japan to this day to the point where they kinda put more focus on their Japanese releases. Before KPop became so global, Japan was seen as the more lucrative market, hence why so many KPop artists and groups release stuff in Japan. BoA and TVXQ were definitely some of the earliest vanguards. In terms of who is producing the concert, I’m sure SM fits some of it, but their Japanese label (avex trax) probably does as well. TVXQ is very popular, so they can probably afford the extra expense of live musicians.

TVXQ is called TOHOSHIKI in Japan and TOHO team is their own team for tour live includes dancers, the band, stage director and many other staffs. Yunho and Changmin are the one who actually manage and pay the team. TVXQ has a special introduction time for the band and each dancer in their every live. They said that TOHO team are not just helping as staffs but the other performer as important as they are. This is the show for both TVXQ and TOHO team. They always bring fans such high-qualitied performance since they all take this seriously. I personally prefer their lives than MVs lol. I think they sometimes have backing tracks for sound effects for specific songs. The band does live performance mostly. There are vocal backing tracks for some parts of the refrain If they have intense dance. This concert was live broadcast online and didn't have good enough acoustic which may make it hard to figure their voice and the backing track. BTW the gesture represents the "T" in "TVXQ" That's the secret code between TVXQ and fans. Whenever they asked "we are?", fans will shout out "T!" with the gesture lol
