I was waiting for this one! It was my favorite performance followed by The Boyz! The song It's Raining was specifically made for Rain, and he's inspired by Michael Jackson, so Monotree added a subtle Billie Jean melody in there. The saxophone, as someone said, came from their song Complete. I wish the track you download didn't have the breaks in it myself, but unfortunately it has the silences.

the story was supposed to be that the first part, where they danced, was sort of hyojin's dream sequence? bc we saw him close his eyes, and youll know by how its dark, and compared to the later part the music feels a bit more incomplete. then when that stage manager guy wakes him up, he says its showtime, the lights come on and the music pumps up. they wanted to incorporate the mj concept as well as that sax part from their song complete bc they wanted to go for a brighter concept and add their own flavor to the song, instead of doing a dark concept that theyve already done before (they explain this in the actual episode). and they basically won bc everyone was so amazed bc despite how iconic and well-known the og song is to everyone, onf's arrangement basically made them forget all that. 🥰
