I don't like being "that person" especially since you did a great job at describing the Haka and it's Maori origins. Just so nobody brings it up any time ya have to speak about kpop groups using Haka in the future (it happens a lot more than one would assume) but the correct pronounciation for Maori is like saying Moldy but instead of saying the D you replace it with a rolled R Also this video is great. Keep up the great work and dope content n.n

I'll be another of those people Lol I kind of find the whole Haka homage a bit of a stretch. During much of my 2 years in the South Pacific, after I sailed with a couple of cultural anthropologists I distributed/collected 1,000's of their surveys through-out ~100 islands in the SP. Ironic side note: Despite having an grad-degree in science the only time I "got paid" is for this! Also I crunched the numbers for all of their papers for the next ~10 years

The description given for this video is a bit basic just because of time. Bang Chan one of the group's members, the group's main producer, and one of the lyricists for the group, explained in more detail during one of his vlives the haka influence and reasoning behind it. Edit: The haka choreo is also more prevalent if you watch a live performance or their dance practice for this song. The whole choreo isn't comprised of haka moves, but they're definitely there.
