Hi fam!

We have another episode of Star Trek TOS today. Today's episode is Journey to Babel. I loved this episode! As a fan of Discovery, I loved being able to see the family dynamics of the Spock's family. At the start of the episode, we meet Ambassador Sarek as he boards the Enterprise for a diplomatic mission with his wife Amanda. Very early on, we see the "friction" between Sarek and Spock, and soon we understand it has to do with Spock's decision to join Starfleet in lieu of the Vulcan Science Academy. The episode is a glimpse in how difficult Spock's upbringing must have been, torn between his Vulcan identity and his humanity. 

The episode also took a look at diplomacy within the Federation. I hope we get to see more of the ins-and-outs of the politics of the Federation. It was fascinating to see all the species working towards a common goal, all the while being mindful of their own agenda.
