WHAT. A. MOVIE. Please tell me I wasn't the only one being an emotional wreck throughout this movie! Shuri's grief experience was very similar to my own, making this movie extra hard to watch. There was so much loss in this film, MY GOD!

Wow!

Angela Bassett is deserving off ALL THE AWARDS for her portrayal of a grieving, yet POWERFUL Queen and mother. She gave me ALL MY LIFE!

Lastly, the inclusion of Haiti won me! As a Haitian-Canadian, I don't see my culture represented often on the big screen. Although, some of the Haitian Kréyol was wonky, it was nice that they made an effort to portray our culture and language.
