The gang's overall love language is definitely food lol ✨

I don't remember much from my high school writing classes -- but the archetype of communion/sharing a meal together always stuck with me. Food is how I mostly show love in real life too, so I'm really excited to share some sweeter scenes like this one in our next chapter! 🥰

You mention the archetype of communion, and that is a big part of what has led me down the path I have been on. When I was younger, I pursued this in social work. As I have grown older (and attempted to grow wiser in tandem), I have pursued this through being a part of the community that produces the wholesome food and drink humans have historically shared in these communion rituals (making beer, mead, wine, spirits, pizza, kombucha and bread). Pursuing it as a craft, and an art form. After someone has had a sip of what they deem to be the finest beer they have ever had, or a slice of pizza completely unique to their food experience, hearts and minds open up (my personal experience as giver, as well as recipient). It builds kinship, love and trust. It brings present the ancient notions of a guest being protected and cared for by the resident of that domicile once bread is broken and mead is tasted. I truly believe there is something hardwired into our beings about this exchange. I'm excited to see more of it poured out from and upon our favorite trio. Your work remains fresh, present and living while being grounded in the depth of our history and humanity, and I love it more than I can say 💖
