Quick status update - 02.05.2021 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Today’s development update is only from the one side of the Underground Studio team. 

Hi, I’m Jachu and I’m taking care of the art side of our games. 😊

There is a holiday break in my country now so I decided that this is the perfect time to keep you noted on what's going on in Underground Studio. 

Today I released special wallpaper for 20$+ Patrons and right now I catched up by doing extra wallpapers for upcoming months. Beside that, as you all pointed out, the animations (at least in Before You Go) would be a perfect addition for the games. That’s why I resumed learning making animations and also I started working on the second Chapter of The Best Days of Our Lives. 

But there is important news. 

Our coder and writer has big network issues and due to the bad pandemic situation in his region, technical support said it can’t be fixed right now. But also he promised he’ll be online once every few days. That’s why we are all waiting (me and you, the Patrons) for his issues to be resolved so the first Chapter will be finished! In the meantime I’m catching up with renders for future updates so I hope the work on the second release will go much more efficiently. 

And the last thing that I want to announce for this ‘quick’ update is this month the polls will go differently. You’ll have a chance to vote on new characters (you don’t know them yet 😉). And most importantly there will be ONLY ONE poll for custom renders (not few like in the previous month). Those are the rules for voting in every kind of poll:

• Friends (5$ Patrons) have 1 vote (can’t on vote on monthly custom renders)
• Best Friends (10$ Patrons) have 1 vote (from this tier and higher you CAN vote on monthly custom renders)
• Crushes (20$ Patrons) one vote counts as 3
• Professors (50$ Patrons) one vote counts as 5
• Principals (100$ Patrons) one vote counts as 7

We decided that Principal tier (100$) should have more voting power so that’s why their one vote counts as 7 from now on.

Also there will be another monthly poll to vote on starting this month. We called it Between the days:

A monthly 4-panel comedy comic series, featuring the characters of The best days of our lives. Patrons can vote for which character the current month's comic should focus on. This comic will contain any kind of content, from 'filling in minor details not covered in the main story' to 'meta-commentary on the game'.
