More Frontier Defense on the Oculus Rift DK2. After a few tweaks with the new Oculus Rift Runtimes and some improved settings for running Titanfall on the DK2 we jump in a play the new mode Frontier Defence. First, the Rift needs to be in "extended mode". Create a Shortcut to Titanfall by right clicking vorpX in the bottom on your desktop. Run Origin, once it is running, run the Shortcut you made. In Game Settings FOV 90 Disable V-Sync Run in Windowed Mode 1920x1080 The run with the best settings you can,Texture Filtering - Anisotropic filtering should always be x16 unless you are having frame rate issues! In vorpX: - Get vorpX here www.vorpX.com Enable expert settings Check "Disable Aero on game start" Do not use an Oculus Profile Do not enable head tracking roll - You can but you will get frame lag and feel sick! Go to excluded programs and exclude "anything that might interfere" like Steam, Mumble, Skype, things that aren't games. Windows settings: Make sure the Rift is the main display in portrait orientation, and is offset diagonally from your monitor display (sides do not touch, only the corner, this ensures your mouse doesn't accidentally escape the screen you're on) Then run Titanfall! Use Windows Key + Shift + Arrow Key to switch the Titanfall window between displays, and use Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen. Once loaded you will see side-by-side images, hit DEL to bring up the vorpX menu. Go to display settings.
