Star Citizen - vorpX Oculus VR & Warthog HOTAS

We look at our updated settings for vorpX & the Oculus Rift in Star Citizen as well as combing a HOTAS and freelook to be able to look around the cockpit while you fly. This isn't using TrackIR it's all from vorpX & the Oculus. In Game Settings: Fullscreen will get you best quality & frames Windowed Mode if you are recording or you can't get vorpX to hook. 1920x1080 Resolution - Very High Quality Low Mouse Sensitivity vorpX Desktop Settings & ingame Settings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G59281qfRU8 Check "Disable Aero on game start" Do not use an Oculus Profile Do not enable head tracking roll Go to excluded programs and exclude "anything that might interfere" like Steam, Mumble, Skype, things that aren't games. Based on your POV Preference Use Letterbox 1 or 2 Image zoom to 0.85 - 0.95 Tweak interpupillary distance with the rift on until it feels comfortable - IMPORTANT If you see colour bleeding turn on "fix chromatic aberration" Enable "shader antialiasing" if desired Turn head tracking down to about 0.2 Turn head tracking smoothing off Desktop Graphics Settings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjUO0s0jLqg Set Contrast to 60 In your Graphics Control Center if you have one: Set Anstropic Filtering to x16 Texture Filtering to High Quality Set V-Sync to Always off Make sure the Rift is the main display in portrait orientation, and is offset diagonally from your monitor display (sides do not touch, only the corner, this ensures your mouse doesn't accidentally escape the screen you're on) Then run Star Citizen! Use Windows Key + Shift + Arrow Key to switch the Star Citizen window between displays, and use Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen. Once loaded you will see side-by-side images, hit DEL to bring up the vorpX menu. Go to display settings. The Warthog HOTAS is amazing, but I would only suggest for an enthusiast & then only when flying ships larger ships that are not agile. It's build quality and feel are to die for tho - http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/hotas-warthog My New System Specs: i7 4790K 4.5GHz Processor 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400MHz Ram MSI Z97 G-55 Motherboard XFX Radeon R9 290X 4096MB GFX 120GB SSD - Games / 60GB SSD - OS Windows 7 64 Pro WEBSITE - http://boredgamer.co.uk CHANNEL - http://www.youtube.com/BoredGamerUK GET GAMES - http://www.cdkeyvast.com TWITTER - http://twitter.com/BoredGamerUK All Music Provided by Matthew Huffaker aka Teknoaxe Teknoaxe Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/teknoaxe Star Citizen - vorpX Oculus VR & Warthog HOTAS Star Citizen - vorpX Oculus VR & Warthog HOTAS Star Citizen - vorpX Oculus VR & Warthog HOTAS
