Star Citizen Oculus Rift VR - Setup & Gameplay

We look at our updated settings for vorpX & the Oculus Rift in Star Citizen. In Game Settings: Fullscreen will get you best quality & frames Windowed Mode if you are recording or you can't get vorpX to hook. 1920x1080 Resolution - Very High Quality Low Mouse Sensitivity Gamma 54 Brightness 54 Contrast 57 vorpX Desktop Settings & ingame Settings Check "Disable Aero on game start" Force Game Start to Oculus Rift Monitor Do not use an Oculus Profile Do not enable head tracking roll Go to excluded programs and exclude "anything that might interfere" like Steam, Mumble, Skype, things that aren't games. Based on your POV Preference Use Letterbox 1 Image zoom to 0.90 Tweak interpupillary distance with the rift on until it feels comfortable - IMPORTANT If you see colour bleeding turn on "fix chromatic aberration" Turn head tracking down to about 0.3 Turn head tracking smoothing to Medium Desktop Graphics Settings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjUO0s0jLqg Set Contrast to 60 In your Graphics Control Center if you have one: Set Anstropic Filtering to x16 Texture Filtering to High Quality Set V-Sync to Always off Make sure the Rift is the main display in portrait orientation, and is offset diagonally from your monitor display (sides do not touch, only the corner, this ensures your mouse doesn't accidentally escape the screen you're on) Then run Star Citizen! Use Windows Key + Shift + Arrow Key to switch the Star Citizen window between displays, and use Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen. Once loaded you will see side-by-side images, hit DEL to bring up the vorpX menu. Go to display settings.
