Greetings Baked Matt n’ Cheese and Mayonnaise Hot Cognito Just wanted to drop in and show some love for all you do and share a story with you about the impact you have had on this listener’s life: 3 months ago, I underwent a successful kidney transplant after a long fought battle with kidney disease. During my recovery, I took it upon myself to catch up on earlier episodes of DD. It was the right move. Matty and Cog, you two have always championed the value of personal health and wellness, and hearing those messages repeated while going through the scariest but most hopeful time in my life was just what I needed to hear. Not to mention the joy and passion you have for games, gaming, and the industry itself. Thanks for everything, and listen to Lord Cognito—get them kidneys checked!! Much love from Philly!

Hey Dukeheads Do you think it’s a little overstated how much the casual gaming audience cares about their digital libraries? Phil believes last gen was the worst to lose, but I know from firsthand experience that most casual gamers only play whatever is new. The next madden, cod, etc. — My father in law, nieces and nephews could give a shit about games that are a year+ old. More often than not when they get a new console they don’t even sign back into their account they just create a new one from scratch. Idk, I think Phil’s comments on this seem a bit dramatic. “We’ll never out-console Sony”. Imagine if Nintendo said that during the Wii U era. Create better games that appeal to a wider audience, hire a better marketing team, and stop with the defeatist attitude!
