Please welcome prolific YouTuber and PlayStation content creator MysticRyan to Sacred Symbols, perhaps our single most-requested guest in our podcast's history. Today, I (Colin) present to you a conversation with Ryan conducted with intent. After all, Ryan is one of the few people in the PlayStation space as immersed in its history, culture, and ecosystem as me, and such a combination no doubt proves fruitful over our two-plus hour chat. We start things off by talking about current-day PlayStation, how PS5 is doing, the state of the second party, and what the near-future might hold. But the bulk of our discourse actually revolves around Sony's family of studios. We go through each and every one (in alphabetical order!) to opine about its past, its present, and our expectations for what is hopefully a dynamic and bright future for each. If you're a PlayStation nerd like we are, well... this episode is tailor-made for you. Please enjoy.

Mystic Ryan and Colin Moriarty. The two kings of PlayStation coverage. Would love to see you two get together for a show again.

MISZCZOGRZMOT

I couldn't hit the timed attacks properly playing Sea of Stars via remote play. Every time I'd jump from playing it on the tv to playing it on the phone I'd need like an hour to adjust my timing (and I'd still miss more often on the phone). RE4 was similar - it was fine most of the time, combat was ok, but since character movement was a bit laggy and floaty to begin with, I'd often get caught on door frames when trying to walk through them, or get stuck in other pieces of environment because of the extra delay. I juat can't imagine playing every PS5 game on Portal.
