Welcome to Constellation, Last Stand Media's conversational podcast. This week, the Brothers Moriarty are joined by Sacred Symbols co-host Chris Ray Gun. A trio of topics therefore await you this episode, beginning with Dagan's deep-delve into gossip. It turns out Dag's a bit of a gossiper himself, and wonders if we partake, and if so to what extent. Colin thereafter turns everyone's attention to the so-called 'public domain,' where created works across mediums reside after a certain number of years post-launch, a space where anyone can play with the likes of Count Dracula, and -- yes indeed -- Steamboat Willie. How do we feel about the rules and restrictions placed around others' creations? Finally, Chris steers us into the realm of true crime, where for reasons unknown, people fixate about the grisly downfall of others. Do we share in this cultural obsession, or are we perplexed by it all?

On the first topic, I've always personally thought that you should never say something that you don't want someone else to hear. You should DEFINITELY never ever write/type that thing down. You've always gotta weigh the risk, you'll probably gossip less too, as a result. (not meant to be a judgement on gossip)

On the true crime topic. I’ve recently really gotten into the Mr. Ballen YouTube channel. John Ballen is the dude, former navy seal, and a great story teller. Check that dude out. It’s not all true crime but they’re all real stories sometimes involving supernatural elements.

Honestly after listening to Colin’s take on the public domain (been following him since 2013) I really would love for a more political conversation from him. I’m not too dissimilar from his viewpoints on a good number of political topics but in the prior constellations episode he said he would vote for Trump in 2024 if that was his option against Biden. He’s described himself as a populist and as a Canadian, I find our parties are more “populist” than the US organizations. I guess my curiosity is how has Trump’s actions (not what he says) showed that he’s more populist? Also, as an insider looking in, your political parties are trash; they cater to the uber wealthy and no one else. Y’all are going to have riots on your hand if you don’t fix this soon… that said, the stock portfolios are doing well so I guess as a Canadian I shouldn’t complain, I just fear for my American brothers and sisters.

Well the speed limits are there for every possible vehicle and every possible weather/time of the year. They do seem too low for modern cars that brake and handle much better than the cars we had when the limits were set, but you don't want loaded trucks going around a bend faster than the limit in winter, cause even 5mph more may be a recipe for disaster in that case.
