A new leak seems to confirm what was already fairly obvious: Insomniac can only put so much on its shoulders, and its Wolverine game won't arrive on PlayStation 5 until 2025. But if this source's testimony is true, it means PS5's lack of upcoming first party games is even more stark in the near-and-mid-term, not to mention longer. Yes, The Last of Us: Part II Remastered is en route in January -- and with a $10 upgrade charge, there's literally nothing to complain about -- but even the rosiest amongst us must admit that it sure is looking barren from a PlayStation Studios perspective. Whether or not it matters or not to the wider market, of course, is another thing entirely, as the vacancy of exclusives hasn't halted PS5's sales dominance whatsoever. Other news this week includes conflicting reports concerning Sony's one-time timed PS5-exclusive KOTOR remake, the leak of Dragon's Dogma's 2 release date, the exit of Returnal's director from Housemarque, and more. As always, listener inquiries help us wrap everything up. Can Netflix really produce a quality BioShock film? Which game series really hit their stride with the second release? What happens to our digital games libraries when we die? Did Colin watch Oppenheimer on his phone simply to annoy Chris?

Colin’s defence of his saying “on Long Island” was going swell until he used the Barbados example. Completely fell apart. When you travel to Long Island, you will end up being in Long Island. Not on

I guess all we need to ever say is “I’m on Earth.” No need to get more specific than that.

Re: the term “Indians” vs “native Americans,” I am Cherokee and I grew up steeped in tribal culture. Colin is absolutely correct in that we reclaimed the term “Indian” as a point of pride rather than prejudice. Native American is a fine term as well, and we use them interchangeably. What we find irksome is when white people insist that we use nonsense terms like “first lands people.” Seriously, fuck right off with that. I hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving.

Just wanted to chime in about the staring conversation regarding old soundtracks from EA games to say that I specifically discovered Rise Against because Madden 07 featured their song "Drones". I would put that song on repeat in my younger years when playing it!

After listening to this, I had to go back and watch the E3 trailer for Gearbox's Brother's in Arms: Furious 4, and not only does it end with saying "Coming in 2012", but they also advertise "Available for Pre-Order Now" on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3... I'm curious how many pre-orders they actually received and if these were refunded to the customers upon the games "cancellation", or simply folded into a Battleborn pre-order.

To answer Dustin's question, Sony is being targeted for the 30% fee is because they are the only platform that doesn't allow digital code sells. On both Xbox and Switch you can buy a digital copy of Toms of games through third party stores like Amazon or Best Buy. So it creates a more competitive digital marketplace. PlayStation stopped doing that years ago (or maybe never did it? I forget.) so if you want a digital product on PlayStation you HAVE to buy it at their price on the PlayStation store.
