The new era of PlayStation 5 is here, at least in terms of a hardware revision. Like every PlayStation console before it, PS5's upgrade comes packing a smaller form factor, and increased storage and an optional disc drive sweetens the deal. But this so-called PS5 Slim comes with a peculiarly stubborn price that isn't reflective of generations past. Could it be that the dueling pressures of inflation and monetary conversion rates have finally come to bear? Either way, one thing's for certain: These new consoles will sell by the millions upon millions in the months to come, and if you want an old-style PS5, you better act before it's too late! Other news this week revolves around crescendoing rumors concerning a PS5 port of The Last of Us: Part II, fresh PS+ offerings, and more. Listener inquiries close our show, as is tradition. Sony TVs are premium and not a lot of people have them because they are very expensive. Their electronic camera division is also huge. Great headphones etc.

Y'all may not know anyone personally that holds Sony TVs in high regard, but that doesn't change the fact that they are consistently in the running for the best TVs on the market. HDTVTest has been putting them at the top of their ratings for the last few generations in many categories (LED, OLED, etc...). Think of it this way, Sony OLED TVs use LG panels coupled with Sony's superior processing. So if you're an LG fan, you'd benefit from a Sony OLED by default. And Samsung built its reputation on value. They had superior TVs for what they were priced. But they are no longer budget TVs punching above their weight. They're expensive TVs inferior to the competition.

That Sony TV comment is objectively false just look at objective based TV sites like HDTV and RTINGS and they have them ranked extremely highly in terms of HDR performance, motion blur handling, viewing angle and local dimming capabilities. They are more expense than the competition for sure, but the gold standard for OLED is definitely the Sony A95K OLED because its DTS:X home audio compatibility, but it is so expense no one outside of the home theater hobby crowd owns them. You all constantly complain about 60/30 fps luddites, yet you just made an equally as comparable mistake with any TV nerd saying what you did lol.

We used to train with Israeli soldiers at Ft. bliss in TX. I had no idea back then that these would be the soldiers responsible for the Iron Dome project years later. I can only imagine the emotions involved in that sort of attack. I remember not being able to reach my mom on 9/11 who was working downtown Washington D.C. and that seems so... tame in comparison to a calculated invasion and systematic execution of people in their homes... smh

This comment will probably go unread but here it goes: the reason “HBO” was removed from the MAX’s name is because Discovery bought the brand off of AT&T. In doing so, they added all this content from the Discovery Channel, and will be adding more; none of which is of the caliber of HBO. Therefor it was imperative not to dilute the prestigious brand and give HBO its own island on the MAX platform. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s been a shit show over there, but hopefully that makes sense.

Well it’s easy to see who all in here owns Sony TVs 😃 I used to LIVE the old Trinitron Sonys but I’m happy with my Vizio 🤷🏻‍♂️

Chris saying Sony TVs don't look good in the store is one of the more idiotic statements I've heard. Sony TVs don't sell as much because they are the premium TV brand. They're best TVs are more expensive and are the best available. LG Oleds sell more because they're much cheaper. The Value Electronics shootout involves a lot of industry people judging the top TVs on the market. Very weird, ignorant and dismissive comment by Chris.

I get why people are upset. Chris and Colin are just factually incorrect about Sony TVs. They’re the 3rd highest selling TV brand while also being close to the most expensive, which is a feat. They are consistently the highest reviewed TVs for the past decade now.
