Hey Sacred Sunshines, This is a DEMAND to Colin. There BETTER be a SINCERE apology to Dustin this episode for last week's nonsense. Our boy Dustin and your Sacred Son deserves to be treated with RESPECT! Do BETTER! Also Chris laughing the whole time didn't help. He can Apologize too! Thanks and keep up the otherwise stellar work!

Hey hey, when Colin goes on his honeymoon is Dustin going to write the show, and Colin will just get to roll in?

Hello the two sons and the big D, long time first time. To put long story short, I am a 19 immigrant that's currently living in Spain, have been for a year and change, and due to a mix of being poor and not being able to speak the language, a lot of the advice that you would normally give don't apply to me. Go to college? I barely made it through highschool and that was with heavy leniency on part of the school Get a job? Any job that would accept someone like me are customer service type jobs and I can't speak the language. Go to another country that speaks my language? I don't have the money And so here I am, a lost man looking for some sort light to keep going, and while appreciate any advice for you lads even if it's critical, if it turns out that you didn't read this, then thank you for being my imaginary therapy session, and remember to keep fucking that chicken.

Hello Sacred Crew, Here’s a quick one. How do the boys feel about Call of Duty: Zombies? I’ve been listening since 2019 and I don’t believe I’ve heard any mention of what is, to many, an essential part of the COD experience.

Greetings Sacred Crew, Are any of you experiencing constant interruptions from tutorial pop-ups every 5 seconds while trying to get into a game? Lately, I've been increasingly aware of this issue, and it's becoming quite frustrating. Have any of you encountered a similar problem where excessive tutorials disrupt an otherwise good gaming experience? Can you recall any specific games that have done this? I'm afraid I might have missed out on some really good games because of this.

Greetings from the granite city in Scotland known as Aberdeen.  Firstly I just want to say thank you for all of the work that the team at Last Stand Media do.  I love listening to all of the shows and think that LSM has some of the finest podcast offerings around.  Keep up the good work! My question to the Sacred crew is this.  Do you think that physical games will disappear entirely before this current console generation is over?

Hello Sacred Crew The PS5 has been out for nearly 3 years now and beyond exorbitant, high-end products like the Dualsense Edge or a Razer Wolverine, there is no alternative to the frankly sub-optimal Dualsense. I've seen fighting gamers complain about it, I've seen shooter players complain about it, and personally, I think it doesn't hold a candle to the Dualshock 4. Colin, playing Batboy with it feels like I'm playing with the Always Sunny Hand Gloves. Will Sony ever allow us to at least use Dualshock 4s, or open games up to cheaper third party alternatives, to play PS5 games at some point? Bear in mind that the "advertised reason" that DS4's aren't compatible is the advanced triggers and haptics, but through remote play you can use a DS4, or any controller you'd like for that matter, so that smells like BS to me. Would love your opinion, and greetings from South Africa!

Hey CDC. Important question: Barbie or Oppenheimer?

Hello guys Have you tried playstation plus on PC. Maybe you can try it or have and let playstation know how much it sucks. No search bar and you can only use la ps4 controller. I have 3 ps5 controllers I can't use.

Well Ratchet and Clank is out and now there's no end to people calling Insomniac liars. Personally I think when they said it was only possible on PS5 because of it's SSD they were comparing it to PS4 not a gaming PC or even a Steam Deck. It's rare companies compare things to their competition. Even AMD/Intel compares their product stack against their previous products. Thoughts?

Hello Joy Boys, A dozen of friends and compatriots went to Barbenhiemer this last weekend. A double header of existentialism, an old fashioned blended with pink lemonade. I love films and a good double header. Have you guys ever played two games at the same time when they released and they heightened the experience together? This one is weird, but when I got the Wii on release day and I played Twilight Princess most of the day and then would top it off with some Excite Truck - it just made both games better because they happened to do what the other wasn't.

What’s up CDC? This question probably doesn’t pertain to Colin based on the souls-like nature of the game, what are the boys thoughts on Remnant II? While it’s certainly not a triple-A game on the scale of something like Final Fantasy XVI, it’s a very solid third person shooter that really improves on the loot-based, procedural generation formula of the first game. More importantly, it doesn’t try to force in any live-service elements. Will any of you be playing this really excellent double-A title? Thanks

Hey Sacred Fats, this question is for Chris. Chris, why are the tops of mountains cold when they’re closer to the sun? Thanks for all the great content.

Hello, I'm a long time listener of Sacred Symbols and all of Colin's prior podcasts. Colin, I'm very appreciative of the thousands of hours of PlayStation analysis you've provided me over the years, but I must admit, it was difficult to watch you ask Dustin why he's so sensitive last week. Do you ever wonder if Dustin's sensitivity is rooted in a feeling of inferiority to you and Chris? Does the problem go deeper than him just being sensitive? Dustin, do you feel overworked? Underappreciated? Like a stepson as opposed to pure Moriarty flesh and blood like Chris? Maybe there's more to unpack and dig into here. We all want the Sacred Boys to be happy, so please deal with your family quibbles in a healthy way and use your "I feel" statements whenever you have any disagreements or misunderstandings.

Hey boys, After learning that I have to press Shift + Return for line breaks, I come to you all for the first time with something my girlfriend brought up to me. Concerning Game Pass, or any gaming subscription service for that matter, I am concerned that phenomena like FF XIV and Destiny and No Man's Sky will never happen again. Correct me if I'm misguided here but, the subscription model somewhat limits the financial risk involved in making games in that money is paid up front to the production company. To me, this makes the idea of a company "listening to feedback" and fixing their game more of a snickering courtesy that companies would almost certainly fain. My main concern is that the possibility for those rare 180's will vanish with the greater emergence of profit-up-front subscription style models. Sorry about the rehash of, yet again, subscription model talk, but I thought it to be a somewhat novel angle on it. Thanks guys -de Bungo

Colin, I know Micah’s a fan of King of Queens so I’m wondering if you’ve ever sat down and watched it with her, the show has numerous references to the Jets and is a classic of the early 2000’s sitcom era, also The Order 1886 is criminally underrated by the critics of its time miss me with that bullshit, keep finger blastin that chicken love the show and everything LSM has put out <3

Hey there friends, Greetings from Northern California! Finally a patron after years of freeloading. What a great value. Anyways, this past Sunday morning I found myself on Highway 80 at about 8am heading from San Francisco back home to Sacramento as one does after a night of bar crawling in The City complete with the usual trip to Wing Wings of course. My wife was catching some sleep in the front seat, so I figured it’s time for some Sacred Symbols. Had a great time listening to the usual unhinged conversation and then my wife wakes up and asks me what the fuck I was listening to. “Why were they talking about pretzels so much?! Was I dreaming that? Are you listening to a pretzel podcast? Was that supposed to be funny? I don’t understand.” I explained to her it is in fact a PlayStation podcast and that the crew would be thrilled to hear that to the unsuspecting listener, it just sounds like complete nonsense. Thanks for making the freeway less boring, guys. Peace.

Love KoQs. One of the most underrated shows of all time imo

Hi Italia FC fans Just wanted to follow up on last weeks conversation regarding EAFC 24 and EA’s UFC 4. Whilst on paper it may seem too similar to EA UFC 4, when discussing or promoting the UFC games, ‘EA’ is not put before title therefore it is easier than it looks to differentiate. With regards to EA FC, this is a good title for the series because it’s how a lot of teams, especially in the Premier League are simplified. Liverpool Football club being LFC, Manchester United Football Club being MUFC etc and the reason they could never have a player within the title is that football is far too tribal and would never work with fans. At the end of the day I still think people will refer to it as FIFA 24 Thanks for the great content

did one of you say last week that battlebit was made in roblox? how dare you, this is categorically, 100% false! Its been in development since before roblox existed.

Mr. Scott If You're Nasty

Sacred boys, I'm a LSM Patreon for those Duke Boys; however, I find myself listening to your podcast to challenge my opinions. The recent crossover episode was fantastic, and Colin, I really appreciated your long term concerns about the industry. I do think you should read, if you haven't already, a book titled Why Nations Fail. In it, it discusses a term called creative destruction, a term describing when new technologies or ways of doing things challenging the existing ruling class or institutions. I think your opinions, while posited well and fair, suffer a little bit from fear things will change from the current status quo, and the market will go through creative destruction (i.e. change), which is ultimately a good thing in a capitalist society (see Uber destroying Taxis for example). Anyways, I appreciate the opinions and has anyone read this book and see its parallels with this fear, perceived fear anyways. Wishing you alll healthy, happy, and gaming decades. Respectfully, Not your biggest fan

Hey Colin and sons, Stepping away from all of the discourse of fanboys, big games, comparing games, fighting over games and all nonsense. Have any of you checked out Rogue Legacy 2? I have the PS+ Extra tier so I got the game in the service, and I have been completely enamored with it. The 2D side scroller plays very well, the classes and adjustments are very engaging and it’s been one of my favorite games of this year personally. With Colin’s love of side scrollers I was curious if you have checked this one out. Hope you’re all well and excited to hear tomorrow’s episode, keep rolling out some of the best content around! Thanks, James from Colorado

What’s up CDC, 40 million units for the PS5. Only two months slower than the PS4. Xbox may have momentum on Twitter, but it feels like PlayStation is still in another orbit compared to its competitor. Does this further illustrate that the internet isn’t real life? All my friends could care less about the console wars and what company is buying who, they love PlayStation cause it’s unique and just a cut above the rest kinda like Apple. I hope you guys have a great day and for gods sake take that chicken to a nice restaurant every now and then.

Hey guys, Just wanted to give a shout out to Dustin and the boys coming out to the Deli On the Circle (aka the bunker) last Saturday. It was pleasure to hang out with Dustin, Ben, and fellow fan Matt Flowers and chat for awhile. Hope you guys enjoyed. The question is, Is it time to do 2.0 version of the sandwich in honor of the visit? A remastered sacred sandwich if you will. I know you're a plain eater Dustin, but maybe we can jazz it up some. Unless Chris is ready to debut his sandwich idea onto the world. Thanks as always!

Co-Defendants Colin, Dustin, and Chris: I am an attorney in California practicing criminal law, and thought I might shed a little bit of light on what “unfit to stand trial” in the Rockstar hacker case discussed last week actually means, as you all had expressed curiosity about it. While I am in California and the Arion Kurtaj trial is taking place in London, the UK laws are mostly similar to US laws in this way. Generally, “unfit to stand trial” is not the same thing as an insanity plea, though the two are often confused. Unfit to stand trial is essentially a “pause button” process where either the court or the Defense attorney requests a psych evaluation (usually they are also good at seeing through fake “drooling in court” behavior). Being deemed unfit is also not a free pass away from consequences, in most cases, it simply stops proceedings until the Defendant can be "restored to competency," then the trial resumes (and the Defendant usually stays in custody during that time). An actual insanity plea is more rare, and basically means that “I was insane in the moment I committed the criminal act even though I am fit to stand trial right now,” and is presented during trial as a total defense, meaning if the jury buys that story, it results in acquittal (not guilty). You can probably see why it is quite rare. Fun parting fact for Colin as a Virginia resident: Virginia is one of the only states in the US that allows a victim of a crime to hire a private prosecutor in certain cases, just like hiring a defense attorney (normally the government is the sole prosecuting body). (Also all of this is just fun facts, none of this should be taken as actual legal advice.)

Hey CDC, Just wanted to ask Colin his thought on the Castlevania: Nocturne trailer? Thanks for all the great content.
