Hey boys, Looks like the Acti-Blizzard deal is on shaky ground. Personally, I have the odds of the deal going through at 50/50. Seems like the regulatory bodies are cracking down on big tech and Microsoft seems poised to be made an example of. My question is, what would be the far future repercussions of this deal failing to get done? I predict the era of XBOX scooping up publishers has come to an end. Once you're under government scrutiny, it's hard to shake it. It's like having the proverbial GTA 5-star wanted level. It's now time for Xbox to put up or shut up with what they got. Their top 5 IP are all acquired after the fact. I see difficult times ahead if they can't create their own blockbuster IP. What say you, gents?
