While it may be the home of things like nepotism and recency bias, many folks such as Cog have accepted it as the way things shall be. From snubs to perplexing categorization such as Elden Ring in the Best Narrative category, we (along with the audience) have many questions to ask. Perhaps the biggest one is, is it worth our frustration or should we just take our game announcements and go? Beyond that, we get into a busy week for Xbox releases as we dive deep into Pentiment along with Somerville. It may not be nearly on the level of God Of War, but Xbox fans will take it! Furthermore, we mull over the comments of Phil Spencer as he firmly closes the door on any Call Of Duty doubts, but raises key points on the future of both mobile games and Project Keystone. That plus The Witcher 3's next gen update, Dave Bautista's Gears Of War casting, and Starfield's uncertain marketing cadence round out our discussion. Get some Defining Duke merch! Keighley is a BUM

I think it would be funny if they called it "The Keighley's".

INSIDE is one of the few games I'd give a 10. It's a perfectly designed 3 hour game with no filler and is consistently unsettling and the ending is one of the most memorable I've ever played. The visuals are striking and will stick with me forever

We should question this often repeated “recency bias” argument when it comes to the game of the year winner. If we look at the winners by release month they are in chronological order from 2014 to 2021. Dragon Age - November, Witcher 3 - May, Overwatch - May, Zelda BOTW - March, God of War - April, Sekiro - March, TLOU 2 - June, It takes 2 - March. So can we honestly say that recency bias is actually a factor for GOTY winner’s. Looking at the actual month of release of past winners, recency bias might actually be a detrimental factor.

COG we need you to play plague tale.. need to hear that discussion

Matty loves a product he was paid to promote? Shocking! Then he can't wait to shill for it on LSM, going against everything LSM stands for. Keep that crap on your YouTube where it belongs. Thank God Cog is here to make this podcast tolerable. Also, I clearly need to add a last name, too many Michaels lol

But Colin does paid promotions also, and one of the CBD products that he too is paid to promote is one that he says he loves. Same with those health greens or whatever they are. So clearly liking the products you are paid to promote is NOT against everything LSM stands for if Colin himself does it. It's fine if you don't like Matty, that's just an odd point of contention. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, no hate either way.
