1994's The Shawshank Redemption is based upon a work by Stephen King, but unlike most of King's best-known work, Shawshank isn't horror-themed. At least, not in the literal sense. Instead, the movie deals with humanity, forcing viewers to see unlikable-on-paper characters through a different lens. The results are legion: An all-time famous cinema bromance, myriad theories about the work's subtext, philosophies  of crime, punishment, and rehabilitation, insinuations of religiosity and heavy-handed Christian messaging, and something so ubiquitously-seen during the late-'90s and early-to-mid-'00s on cable that virtually anyone watching television at the time would have watched it multiple times through. The Shawshank Redemption is widely-considered an all-time great, and, well, we can't say we disagree. Some come on through, fresh fish, before we sing you a lullaby.

At least one day every month, while my mom is asleep and he has the morning hours to himself, my dad wakes up extra early before work and watches this one over coffee. As far back as I can remember, he's done this. One of the greats. Excited to listen to this one.

As a grown man who recently started taking Adderall, it's the best decision I made. The amount of productivity you get is amazing. You feel like you just upgraded to an SSD.

I voted for this so many times just to see it lose. I thought this was never going to happen. Great episode gentlemen

Its the bromance in this movie that is why its well loved. I've had a best friend that I've loved since grade 3 in 1993. We will be best friends till the day we die. I feel like if this movie was made today Red and Andy would have been gay. I know you don't play Assassins Creed Colin but in the latest one Valhalla there was a part that had the potential for a bromance like this. Your best friend since childhood comes and helps you do a bunch of quests but at the end it prompts you to fuck each other. Like every major character you meet in the game. Just let people be friends!!

Hey, Colin! You were talking about hunting for what streaming service may have a movie on it, and I wanted to help you with that. There’s a site called justwatch.com and it tells you where everything is streaming. It’s updated constantly. It’s never been wrong in my experience. Great episode, as always! ✌️

I'm sure I'll enjoy this one but I was really looking forward to the Lost episode

You guys got me to watch this for the first time and I loved it. Masterpiece for sure. Col, ask Micah where she knows the line “Get busy living or get busy dying” from and see what she says. You’ll probably follow that up with “you dorks”. 😄

These dudes never talk enough about music. This movie has one of the best soundtracks ever and it barely gets a mention. I thought they were musicians?
