Game of Thrones (Season 8) | KnockBack: The Retro and Nostalgia Podcast Episode 230

It's been a long trek, but we've finally made it through. Here is our eighth and final episode of KnockBack dedicated to the Game of Thrones television series, in particular its eighth season. These six episodes -- four of them essentially movie-length -- are contentious. Indeed, I don't think anyone would argue that this final run was blatantly rushed and not nearly as satisfying as to be expected. But it's not so much an insult to HBO's Game of Thrones as it is a compliment. We expected more. Yet, that doesn't mean there isn't much to talk about, praise, and enjoy in this final season, and we do just that. Buckle-up for the resolution not only of Game of Thrones, but of our nearly-20-hour discussion of it.

Really enjoyed these conversations! Thank you for doing a video per season, been great to listen to them all!

Also calling it, the next show is Lost, the greatest show of all time! Honestly adore it so much and my fingers are crossed that I'm right aha! Whatever the show is, I'll be there (even though I know I'm right...right?)

As Season 8 was coming out or right before it aired, there were spoilers leaked on Reddit. I don't remember which episode was my last straw with the show, but I decided to take a look at the leaks around that time. Reading through the leaks of the final couple of episodes I thought, "Really? They're doing that? There's no way that these leaks are legit." Everything ended up being correct.

I hope you guys do LOST. Best TV show before GOT

Listening to Degan gush about retro games always makes me think he should do his own podcast where he interviews retro game developers. I bet there's so many untold stories. Use the Moriarty name 😜

The whole "nobody can kill the Knight King" if true, is lifted straight from Lord of the Rings "no man can kill x" and so the woman does.
