Redfall was the "tone setter" for many to open the 2022 showcase for Xbox & Bethesda. It represents a staggering transformation in the first person sim developer who has now transitioned into making an open world game loaded with both vampires and cultists. Joining Cog and I (Matty) is friend of the show and our personal horror expert, Jimmy Champane. Together, we balance the scales of this discussion to focus on both the pros and cons of what Redfall is bringing to the table. Is this open world, co-op driven experience looking like a certified 2023 banger? It's time to open this discussion up and find out.

Looking forward to the discussion. Me and my brother (Huge Arkane fans both love Prey,Dishonered 1 & 2, etc.) this game just looks so frigan boring. Farcry with new paint. But destined to be another Evolve to us. Just why,WHY, a 4 person comp shooter?!? From the guys who make incredibly immersive sims?? Nah man I’m sorry but nah.

Flaunty

I just need to see more of Redfall personally. The idea of Borderlands with Vampires does a lot for me but a more comprehensive break down of the mechanics and the game world is what I really need.

"Are you ok with Arkane becoming a looter shooter studio?" I want the insanely talented and creative Arkane to make the games they want to make. That's how we get the best games.
