Joel and Ellie are set to return to PlayStation, and a lot sooner than you might think. The long-rumored The Last of Us: Part I is real -- it's a ground-up remake of the 2013 PS3 original, slated for PS5 and later PC -- and it comes out in just a few months. But that's not all: Naughty Dog has also opened-up about not only its upcoming TLoU multiplayer game, which it describes as their biggest game yet, but even hint at a PlayStation 5 project beyond that. This means we've much to talk about when it comes to Sony's crown jewel team. But there's a lot more news than just that. There's conflicting word about the release status of God of War: Ragnarok, with some claiming it's been pushed to 2023 while others state it's simply not so. Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 has surpassed 20 million units, with Sony both severely supply-constrained and without any truly meaningful exclusive launches to date. Plus: Street Fighter 6's roster leaks, Bend is working on a multiplayer game, Overdose may be Hideo Kojima's next game, and more. Then: Listener inquires! Is Snowrunner a low-key Chris game? What kind of 'value' would Sony have to add to get us to subscribe to higher tiers of PlayStation Plus? Does Colin hate too much on the PlayStation 3 XMB? Who would win in a fight: Knack or a hundred Sackboys?

I have the same from issues with my pool too. I picked up the Skimmer Wizard or Skimmer guard from Amazon that seems to help. You’re still going to have the forms coming in your pool, but they won’t get stuck in your skimmer Check it out.

Chris hit the nail on the head in regards to the conversation surrounding FF16. I am exactly the fan he is talking about. I saw the trailer and was immediately put off by the combat system. Until we see more of the system in the future, I am incredibly disappointed in their choice of going a more DMC route action system compared to a more traditional FF system or even the FF7R system. I know the story and music will likely be excellent due to the FF14 bona fides, but the gameplay may be the reason why I choose for the first time to not play a core FF game in over two decades of being a big fan. Looks like a twitch viewing game to me.

As far as XMB goes, I think it's a perfectly serviceable interface, and I actually use it on many of my Retroarch consoles, like my Odroid Go Super uses XMB for emulation, and I have RetroArch on my Vita also using XMB. The downside to it on PS3/PSP was the lack of user defined folders and very limited sorting options.

Finished the podcast today, I listen while I work, when I can at least. Great as always, hope your dog is okay Colin! Grtz

Foundation is a Fortnite skin, ik I'm probably not the only one saying this but making sure it's known!

I hope Treble is out of the woods! 🐾

Until they release some gameplay footage of TLOU Part 1, that $70 price tag is just..... I can't. I really hope they make substantial changes and additions to the gameplay, AI, animations, story(maybe) etc... to justify that $70. I don't want it to become the new norm for Sony to release remakes with shiny new graphics and minimal QOL changes for $70. $50 or $60 is fine with me. But then again that expensive edition sold out fast, so what do I know. Reminds me of when Nintendo sold Skyward Sword HD for $60 with some minimal QOL improvements. Btw Colin you might wanna do a sweep of the common places that Treble hangs out at, check if there are any poisonous plants growing or if the birds are dropping nasty stuff at your yard. I live opposite a mini market that used to sell fresh chicken, they sometimes didn't dispose of the leftover carcass properly so them crows got to it and dropped some great surprises for my dog(RIP). Found him chewing on some bones, even got a chicken wing once!

Be stingy with your empathy. If you are treated with unsolicited disrespect at the workplace, by all means, tell everyone you can and find a better job. However, I can attest first hand that young people today define “disrespect” a little differently than I do. I recently asked one of my guys to do something that has always been a weekly duty and he became visibly angry and asked me in front of a group if this was “punishment”. We are living in insane times. Don’t judge any situation on third party information without details. Which incidentally includes Battlefield 2042.

I totally understand your concern. I just think we unfortunately have to accept that they aren't going to make a $100+ million AAA turn-based RPG ever again at Square Enix.

Yeah, we have been careful since she's gotten back from the ER. The doctors think it could be weed, but I'm just not sure how that could be possible. She eats so much shit outside, who knows. But she's well now. Thank you!

I am so annoyed at myself that I’m so far behind and even more so that I’m commenting again. I just need to express my feelings regarding TLOU. I distinctly remember an interview with Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra from right after TLOU was announced. They said that part of their talent retention practice was to promote from within and give new team members a chance to create their passion. This is what I would love from Naughty Dog. I love that Evan and Christophe stepped aside to allow Bruce Straley and Neil Druckman to shine and I would love to see Neil and Bruce do the same for the next visionary at the studio. Could they strike gold again like they did with TLOU? Abso-fucking-lutely they can.
