There's no one in or around video games -- not even me (Colin!) -- that has shown the PlayStation Vita as much love as Sandeep Rai. That's why I absolutely had to invite him onto Sacred Symbols+, because I can count the number of people who love Vita more than I do on one hand. Thing is, Sandeep isn't a Vita expert. He's the Vita expert. In fact, he's written three books about the handheld, and his ultimate fourth book -- the hardcover, 400+ behemoth Vita Means Life -- is on Kickstarter right now. So come with us, lovers of Life, as we delve into Vita's past, its promise, and the amazing community that surrounds it, soon to be celebrated best-of-all in the written word.

Dang it's a shame shipping from the Kickstarter to the US is so expensive, looks like around 40 USD, more than the book itself :(

LastStandMedia

Yeah, alas! I ponied-up, but I understand others not wanting to do that. There's always the digital version. I wonder if there could have been a way for him to ship to the US from the US, and save him a lot of money in the process.

Woah book looks amazing, but sadly I agree with the last comment on shipping price

Great episode, really great stuff from Sandeep. His insight on the Vita is S tier caliber, I checked out his youtube channel and it's nice to learn more about the Vita. My best accomplishment on that handheld is getting the Little Deviants platinum.

Great episode. When the vita came out I just didn’t have a way to purchase it, I was still in school. I managed to snag one before the store closure announcements and I love the dang thing. My only complaint is that when I play old ps1 games it’ll randomly sign me out and I’ll have to sing in over and over again.

Zack Fair

Damn only £31 sign me up

Sandeep Rai

Thanks so much for having me on Colin. It was awesome to talk to you directly and especially to talk about the Vita. :)

Great episode. I've backed Sandeep's previous 3 books and have backed Vita Means Life on day 1 as well. No doubt it will be excellent also.

Love the books and manual sandeep makes. I can’t wait to read the 400 page vita book.

Another good one as expected! Just a heads up - the producer credits are missing at the end of this episode.

Great stuff Colin, You are good at finding smaller stories that I find so interesting, keep up the good work!

Love the passion here. My wife manages the production team at a Virginia based publisher, Mascot books. If you need a new avenue to US market, I can connect you.

Hey Mike, Colin just brought your post to my attention. Can you email me, it would be great to catch up on this: sandeeprai@2old4gaming.com

Great episode. Been a long term follower of Sandeep on Twitter and YouTube. Couldn't agree more with him that a Vita GTA and 'proper' Call of Duty would have been great for the Vita. I always felt that Sony should've approached Rockstar to make a GTA, even if it meant part funding it. I also always thought they should have released an inFamous on there whilst the series was at the height of its popularity. And absolutely delighted to hear the LSM crew will be coming to the UK in 2022!
