Awesome episode. One of the reasons the Star Wars comparisons are so prominent is probably because Dave Filoni worked on the series as a director, storyboarder, and character designer before going to work on the animated Clone Wars cartoon

This was an amazing surprise. Figured I'd share about the age question. I was born in 1994 and saw parts of the show growing up. I actually watched the whole show recently because my fiance (born 1992 and never watches much TV let alone anime) revealed she is a massive fan of the show 5 years into our relationship. The show is heartwarming and truly a touch stone of many people in my generation. Based on your comments on the characters story I believe you truly will enjoy the later seasons. Born year 2000, so I was 5 when the show started and 8 when it ended. This was my shit! It was my favorite show to watch on Nickelodeon as a kid, and I really liked rewatching it when it got added to Netflix Also, crazy to think that I listened to Knockback throughout my entire college career (Feb 2019 was winter of my freshman year and it’s all almost over now). Feeling very reflective listening to this episode. Plus It’s so great to hear you guys talk about another topic. Thanks for everything!
