The 1986 Jim Henson classic film Labyrinth is about a whole lot more than David Bowie's impressive codpiece. And yes: That in and of itself is amazing. But nestled underneath its fantasy, puppetry, and music is a movie about childhood, about growing up and finding your way and letting go. Few movies resonate from childhood resonate more than Labyrinth for Colin in particular, who considers this one of his favorite all-time flicks. And, well... it really is as good now as it was then. Maybe even better. So let's go to the castle on the other side of the Goblin City, and find out what mysteries Jareth has in store for us.

Can’t wait to dig in,one of my favorite films ever

Daniel Boyer

Excellent episode! Like Large Marge the early nursery scene used to scare the shit out of me when I was young. It definitely adds to the draw. I look forward to the day when Pee Wee's Big Adventure (my favorite film) gets the Knockback treatment

Andrew Morgan

So good. I too have struggled with the thoughts of a remake. Just seems like you can’t do it. What about Madonna or Lady Gaga as a witch harassing a 16 year old male with her giant bejeweled codpiece? (Ahahaha)

Excited to listen to this! I was born In the early 90s so It was a little before my time, but discovered it around my middle school years. I soon after realized it is the greatest movie of all time to watch stoned, and watched it with my friends countless throughout high school.

Zack Fair

Colin it was filmed in Upper Nyack, Piermont, and Haverstraw, New York, and at Elstree Studios and West Wycombe Park in the Uk

Michael Thew

Isn’t this part of the dark crystal series?

Dylan Weaver

I always love it when you guys talk about your collection of video games and toys before the main part of the show

Lee Davies

Something you guys didn't mention is that the screenplay was written by Terry Jones of Monty Python fame (he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!)

LastStandMedia

There were apparently a lot of ghost writers on the script (I think Dagan mentioned this).

BlindRiot

An absolute classic, it holds up. A remake is tempting but I feel like that’d be very difficult to pull off.

Omg, when did Inspector Clouseau get on Knockback? Killing it!
