Welcome! On this 99th episode of + (although Colin says it's 100 for some reason), we draw in MrMattyPlays onto Sacred Symbols for the very first time! Why, you ask?! To talk about E3, of course! How do we think everyone did? How did Microsoft do, specifically? How can Sony respond? Which games are we most looking forward to for the rest of the year? We cover a lot of ground on this much-requested crossover episode, and we hope you enjoy it.

okay this has been irking me because I've heard this both on SS and DD. Both shows use Spiderman as an example of an IP that's its unbelievable that its exclusive to Playstation, but Sony owns the Spiderman IP, back in the day before Disney, Marvel was facing bankruptcy and was selling off their IP in perpetuity. Sony got Spiderman and Fox got Xmen, Fantastic 4 etc. Disney bought up all of Fox's properties except for the news channels and Sony refused to sell Spiderman to Disney. Sorry for the ramble but that's why Spiderman is exclusive, Sony owns it not Disney **edited to fix a typo**

I was surprised that the Max Payne games weren't mentioned in regards to Remedy. I always thought that was a good exclusive for the original X-Box.

Wow that’s a bummer, is there any explanation given why ACG is no longer on Defining Duke? He seemed kinda distracted during their E3 recap... Is there any official statement? I hope it’s on good terms 😕 (but I’d love to know if it wasn’t 😅)

I usually don't give feedback unless it's positive. But I kind of realize now, what's the point in not giving your honest opinion? Is that even really "feedback"? That said, honestly, I think Karak leaving will be a very good thing for DD. This isn't a personal attack on Jeremy. It's just a commentary specifically (and only) on his podcasting style. I love Matty, but as a listener, I personally always felt talked down to by Jeremy. Almost like he felt as though the audience were all dumb, immature "console warriors" who all leave angry, inflammatory youtube comments and don't know enough about "the business" to be talked to on his level, when really, those people are only a very small portion of us. I leave open the possibility that it's just me, but I certainly don't have a penchant for feeling this way about hosts as I listen to a dozen other weekly podcasts and don't feel that way about anyone else. It also honestly struck me as bothersome that he very clearly never, ever did any show prep-- not taking the time to watch trailers that were going to be discussed on the show, or have a pick ready for "game pass pick of the week". Maybe I'm out of line for being bothered by that, but I am paying for this content after all, so I think a well-prepared host to present it isn't too much to ask. I'm not saying he's lazy or anything. I have no doubt it was simply a matter of truly just being too busy. Anyway, I'll be glad to see Matty get a new co-host, and also glad that Jeremy will continue being successful doing his reviews and videos as ACG (which I have been a fan of for years, and will remain so).

Dustin is a golden nugget. You rarely find people like him in business. I run my own with 30 employees and can tell he’s 1) a lovely guy, nice, kind, 2) offers so much intelligent insight, 3) dares to go against the grain. Dares to challenge, even his boss. That’s a rarity but he’s so nice that people will take advantage of him. Don’t. He’s your best guy. Really, he’s your number one and has changed the game completely for Sacred Symbols. Remember all that surprise at how your subscriber numbers have shot up? It’s no coincidence that’s happened since Dustin has played a bigger part.

Your comment was well thought out and well written. i agree with pretty much everything you said. i think DD has the opportunity to increase in value proposition with ACG gone. I say that with the utmost respect to ACG, nothing against him personally, but i believe his podcast persona was very abrasive as you said, and he didn't bring much positivity to the show imo. Matty is a very gracious host and one who i feel can play off any number of personas. I know DD will go from strength to strength

There's no reason it can't be done. Add loading screens, there's no ray tracing in the game on PS5 anyway, lock it to 1080p30.
