It’s Halo and you know what that means! Chris Ray Gun joins Matty to rank each and every Halo game. From Wars, to Spartan Assault, and the mainline series, Chris leads the charge on what makes each and every Halo work (or not!).

If Halo 2 or 3 aren’t rated highest (both are basically God and Jesus status) and if halos 4 or 5 make top 3 at any capacity... Well.... I’ll question your choices. 343 sucks and have yet to make a great game in a decade. Don’t give them praise for making cheap-feeling halo games. Oh and Halo 2 has the best gameplay in the series. Everyone who praises 5s multiplayer played it for a review and maybe have played it one time since.

Man, had to stop at Halo 4 at number 9. The game had the best character development of Chief and Cortana, Steve Downes most recorded dialogue for a Halo entry, some level design and weapon development wasn't the beer for sure. But coupled with a more mature narrative and wonderful new soundtrack filled with a sense of new exploration and wonder. You can't keep asking for the same Bungie formula all the time.

Would love to hear you guys dedicate an episode of Ultimate to Fable. Partly talking about the series as a whole but mostly discussing what you would like to see in the new one. Great episode even though I never played a single Halo.

Nice my comment about Halo Wars 2's DLC campaign got read. Folks should check that out (at least on YT) before Infinite releases. (If you end up ranking the Gears games, I will need to remember to leave a comment about Gears 3's DLC campaign Raam's Shadow.) I thought both top ten lists were well constructed. Great episode.

I started listening to the episode but turned it off! I recently bought my first Xbox therefore I’ll have to play through the Halo games and judge the franchise by myself. Can’t wait to listen to it in the future and see where my rankings sit with Matt and Chris!

We need to focus less on Halo feeling dated and more on Halo 2 feeling so modern even to this day. Incredible game and incredible franchise that shaped my gaming childhood and millions of others

Nice to see Chris acknowledge that there's still a lot to like about Halo 4 and 5 despite like myself being firmly in the classic no sprint Halo camp. These games for very different reasons from each other still have a lot of merit and are too often dismissed with the simple "muh 343 sucks, 343 ruined Halo" mentality.

Was great hearing Chris talk about meeting life long friends in Halo. I'm 29 but my favorite was Halo 3 by far and I have 5 friends all over the country who I met on Halo and we've met up in real life many times. I don't think something like this will or could even ever happen, the community then was incredible. Around Esports and content creators alot of them in other games today started with Halo. I played Halo 3 very competively and even have a very popular Montage made 11 years ago now. Feel free to check it out guys (you too Chris). Loved the conversation! Next time I'd recommend ordering them like Colin does by adding up the points based on where each of you ranked them. It was basically impossible to follow the rankings throughout the episode, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

I would love to see more themed Defining Duke Ultimate episodes like this one, maybe to a ranking of other xbox franchises like Gears or a deep dive on the Fable games. Or have themed episodes about lost/forgotten xbox IP like Blinx (bring back blinx) maybe top 10 OG xbox games, top 10 Xbox 360 games or just the history of xbox, what was your first impression of the OG Xbox/best memories of that console. Really digging the content just thought I should pitch in some ideas
