The terms "Xbox" and "Future" tend to be synonymous. While there are great games, the true investment lies in the plethora of exclusive deals and acquisition made by the company. With that in mind, gamers are hungry to learn more on what Xbox plans to do with all the Bethesda studios now under their umbrella and it appears the answer may be arriving next month. Interestingly, Xbox has managed to nab an exclusive from PlayStation as MLB The Show has moved to the multi-plat business meaning you can officially purchase an Xbox game with PlayStation studios on the front. Does this impact the future of other exclusives? We discuss! In other news, Xbox manages to extend their lead in game streaming as Stadia shuts down all first party development and Mass Effect is making a return much bigger than expected. That plus much more rounds out our fifth episode of Defining Duke.

Can't wait to listen during my walk guys! This has become a weekly ritual for me, keep up the good work!

GameSimp

Defining Duke on back to back days brings a smile to my face. This is quite rare.

Anthony J Sanchez

You guys are amazing! Keep up the great work!

Anthony A.

Got to keep the Patreon subscriptions up for it to continue.

There’s No I in LLC

Guys if you keep the swear jar don't tell guests why your dropping coins in it. They have to guess.

Brandon Soto

The Master Chief Collection on PS4 rumor has existed for years, and I honestly can see it happening. They have nothing to lose because those games are all old and have made all their money back from it.

Stephen Forgione

I don't think Xbox operates with that mindset anymore. Master Chief Collection is a very valuable arm of gamepass now, and anything to increase subscriber base is more important than selling a couple million copies on a competitor's platform.

Will Hahn

Honestly, I like the more foul-mouthed nature of the show. I feel like it’s what separates it from SS, and it gives a different identity. Keep bein’ sailors, boys.

Brandon Soto

The Swear Jar is pointless, dude. If people don’t like, then that’s too bad. They can just ignore it or not listen in general. And I’m pretty sure parents & kids curse more than we do.

Will Hernandez

Guys, MLB and the MLB Players’ Association forced this change with The Show. The only way Sony could keep the license was for it to be multi-platform. There was a press release about it from MLB. Had MLB not forced the issue, the game would’ve stayed a Sony exclusive. Also, die hard Mets fan here as well!

Jason Bolla

So FFXII is hated... Where does X stand?

Dan P

Hey dukes! Love the show. The swear jar was a fun gimmich but if I'm gonna be honest... Just keep swearing with impunity. I'm here to get to know you as you are. I like these podcasts because it feels like hanging with the gamer friends I never had, and it would just be weird to me if my friends censored themselves around me. So yes I get that some people might not be into it, but... Cmon. Besides, anyone too young to swear doesn't really give a shit about in depth game industry banter. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good fucking work. Peace

Not a fan of the neutered approach. Although it was hilarious listening to Karak's mind try to keep up with his mouth. I think he even mumbled "fruggin," or some other half-swear word under his breath. I personally like the more scattershot approach, with each of you kinda riffing off one another. I don't think that adhering to a formula or even sticking to script suits your styles as well as Colin and Chris. But that's fine. We have SS. We now have Defining Duke. I'm a big fan of both, but if I wasn't into one or the other, I wouldn't feel the necessity to sculpt one after the other just because... You two are finding your stride. I didn't like Chris until he shit on The Last of Us #2. Now he's the man. People just need to get to know you better. It'll come. Catering to the "loud minority" is toxic these days. Just my 2c

Small correction - mlb announce the multi platform news back in 2019, before covid

GameSimp

Great advice guys, thank you. I liked the comparison between YouTube and an unpaid internship - super great comparison that sums it up perfectly in my opinion.

Luis Sanchez

Swear away, gotta let people be themselves.

Clarence Boddicker

Why are people crying over swearing, don't censore yourselfs lads, if people don't like it, then they can go listen else where

Ivan Hornett

Please never mention cursing again lol. One persons complaint got way too much mileage and even made Karak forget what he was saying.

Anonymous

With the utmost respect: I do not care for the swear jar gimmick. More often than not it felt like it was distracting y'all more than it added to the episode. Really fun show otherwise! =)

Anthony Maltese

Hey guys, do yourselves a favor and don’t bother the swear jar thing. Tripping over yourselves to avoid cursing is more detrimental to the cadence of the show than anything else. We want to hear your thoughts. Hell I find Matty’s stance on FF12 more offensive than any profanity you two can string together.

Giovanni D'Amico

Agree with the other feedback here. Matty, you're a generous soul for trying to do the swear jar charity thing, but really we just want you to be yourselves. Don't censor yourselves - it means more to this group that you are free to express yourselves. Colin and Chris don't watch their mouths and you shouldn't either.

Brandon Hardman

Who the fuck even gets offended by a small amount of foul language anymore. This isn’t church.

TB Lightning

The swear jar idea is funny, but in execution it breaks the flow of the show a lot. I say just be yourselves and others can stop listening. One thing CLS was always about is authenticity, so the audience is already primed to roll...

TB Lightning

I agree. The uniqueness of each show will be an asset in the long run in my opinion.

Kyle Martin

I can't believe people have an issue with swearing. What's the world coming too
