A rather interesting piece of industry news went largely unreported last week. It seems the Creative Director of Bethesda-owned Tango Gameworks' Ghostwire: Tokyo has randomly left the studio mere months after introducing and showcasing her game at E3. This was clearly unplanned and obviously spur-of-the-moment, so what gives? We speculate. Also: Thriving publisher Capcom has revealed an all-new Resident Evil spin-off with serious L4D vibes, a couple of Xbox and PC-centric Star Wars games are coming to PlayStation for the very first time, a leak suggests Remedy's strange action game Control is getting story DLC, and a Fairy Tail game is coming to PS4 next year, which is no doubt exciting news for all you weebs out there. Then, listener questions! Is PlayStation 2 Classic a non-starter? Are we being robbed of our gaming abilities by Father Time? Is Sony losing the Indie Battle to Nintendo? All of that and more in another stunning episode of Sacred Symbols: A PlayStation Podcast!

Man I was really hoping the “early aught” Star Wars games would be one or both of the Kotor games but I guess this is a decent consolation prize

Chris is wrong again, all of the Ice Age films ended up in theaters

Ryan Harvey

The control thing throws me off... theres a season pass on the playstation store that details and provides a name for 2 expansions. I was wondering why I saw no coverage of it.

Barrett Boswell

Couldn't be more stoked for Jedi Knight II coming to PS4. Played the hell out of that game on PC when it came out. I definitely suggest checking it out. Some of my favorite gameplay for a star wars game. I think you and Chris will probably find the gameplay a bit jarring at first since you didn't play it before but I think you guys will have fun with it overall.

Just to let you know, the ESRB rating E for everyone is defined for everyone 6 and over. The rating you are looking for is EC, defined for everyone 3 years old and over. Toddlers are not welcome to gaming. I was made aware of this as the PS Store curtails content on their Store by according to ESRB and MPR with regards to the registered age of the consumer.

I don’t think resistance will be an outbreak spiritual successor, I agree with Crossfit Chris that it will be like Fable Legends where one player is the villain orchestrating/sending monsters after you. Also, I’m the worst Puerto Rican ever, was born on the island and lived there, and I hate seafood too haha!

Juan Paolini

"This is my labelmaker. I use it to make labels." is definitely going into my compilation of favorite Colin phrases of all time.

Toren R. (KESA)

I enjoyed The Last of Us during my first play though, but fell in love when I played it on "Grounded Mode." I recommend it to anyone who felt like the combat wasn't too involved on the standard difficulty.

I haven't listened yet, but I can say definitively that age has robbed me of many of my gaming skills. At 43, I'm not dead yet, but after many years of farm work, factory work, typing, drawing, wrenching on cars, playing amateur guitar, and of course gaming, my hands and wrists are wrecked. I can't do the rapid successive button presses anymore hardly at all. My reflexes and killer instinct have taken a dive also. I think that's largely why I play mostly jrpg's and more casual games these days. I just can't seem to physically do what I used to be able to. It sucks, but it's life. Age happens.

Watched the Flowers are Dead trailer.... Wow. Just wow.

Cannonball_Jones

It’s newsworthy that Colin confirmed he’s making a game. Who will actually write a news story on it? Push Square, DualShockers?

Anonymous

Omg did anyone here Colin say he's making a game?

Tanner Brant

You guys were cracking me up this episode

LastStandMedia

Yeah, it is what it is. It's just funny to be involved in a hobby where you can really tell that you're slowing down.

Connor Peterman

How do you spell that Vita shooter you mentioned? I can't find it Edit: I found it

Dennis Fox

I really wish Sony would send you a copy of Blood & Truth it really is the closest thing to a new Getaway game we will get, and it’s damn fun.

Brandon Soto

Carrot cake Colin & Cream Corn Chris

Will Hahn

Dude, you better freaking believe I’ll buy your game as soon as it comes out!! That’s fantastic, I’m super psyched for you and the rest of the development team!

Tony Colton

A Sacred Symbols Game... Wooooooo 🤓🎮

D'Ante Almo

My first comment here 😁 I definitely agree with you both about the gaming depression question. Honestly the last game to make me feel that way was Assassin Creed: Odyssey. Took me 90 hours to get the platinum and just recently popped all of the DLC trophies. I love that game so much and now I just feel as if I have absolutely nothing to play. Which is crazy because I have other games I wanna play and plat but can’t bring my self to start because I want more AC. Side Note: Yes, AC: Odyssey is my favorite of the series.

Tony Rivera

Colin, you and Chris need to do some co-op in Borderlands 3. Make it a let’s play. Please!!

Are there any other Motorsports fans on here? I always get a kick out of Colin and Chris reading new releases for games like WRC and F1. Great episode this week.

NeO JD

I tried to play a mega man game recently and boy did I suck. You make it look so easy Colin. I felt the same way seeing these silly articles. Like I knew this back in the PS ILY days.

Monterey Jack

"Grab your rod," followed by your chuckle, was hilarious haha.

Alex Bolton

Colin I am pumped about the video game you are writing, please tell me you are incorporating some ideas you had from the genius gritty open world style mega man game you have talked about in the past.

Ross Joseph

So I think it's safe to say, we're going to be needing a Plus episode with just you guys reading the drop and going into absurd detail about every game. Each week, this show just gets better.

Ice Age: Collision Course received generally negative reviews from critics who criticised the film's plot, lack of originality, unfunny humor, and character development while praising its animation. Despite this, the movie grossed $408 million worldwide on a $105 million budget.

How many GI Joes would Epic have to send to make your game an Epic Store exclusive?

Kevin Sullivan

While I fully support pronouncing the Dualshock button as "X" instead of "cross," I believe everyone who can't pronounce gif as the creator intended should be sentenced to a lifetime of work in the salt mines.

Reuben Barrett

Great news about the sacred symbols games. Cant to play them.

Just started Greedfall last night and really enjoying the character’s faces in the game

LastStandMedia

I'm glad you got something positive out of ACO's long playtime. I heard a lot of people complaining about it, and it kinda put me off from giving it a go (though I bought it, LOL).

Tyron Hay

I picked up the Mega Man Legacy Collection the other day on special. I'm only 19 and not accustomed to these sorts of games. I'm having an absolute blast! Thanks for getting me on to them

Finn

You guys should read the book “What A Fish Knows” by Jonathan Balcombe. Great book with tons of things most people don’t know about fish.
