E3 2018: Nintendo Press Conference Review -- CLS Side Quest

Nintendo showed other publishers and hardware manufacturers the exact style of E3 press conference we should get: Something short, tight, pre-recorded, and well-produced. Unfortunately, Nintendo kinda forgot to actually show games, even if we saw Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the first time. Nice work on all of these bud. It's clear that you hustled to get these done, but they're just as polished and professional as always! Love it.

Agree with Brian. All the e3 videos were amazing. The turn around time on all of them is just impressive. Time to pour a glass of Blantons and take a break. Cheers, excellent work

Stellar E3 coverage from you this past weekend my man! Happy to have been a new patreon member these last few months. Keep up the great work!

I was so sure it was going to be a slam dunk! It wasn't terrible by any means, but I was shocked we didn't see anything from Metroid Prime. There was so much missing first party wise! Yoshi's release date, Retro's game (seriously, where are they?), Pikmin 4 (which has supposedly been nearly completed since 2015). Then again, with how often Nintendo Directs have been coming, these announcements might not be too far away.

Colin definitely delivered with his E3 coverage. The prediction and review videos are awesome and unbiased. Video game coverage needs your input. I think I might just invest in a Nintendo Switch as my secondary console.

All I gotta say is “SNAAAAAAAKE!!!!”

LastStandMedia

At IGN, we had a Japanese Wii and the Japanese version of Smash Brawl so we could write a guide. That's why I say "Day-duh-day" instead if "Dee-dee-dee"... ...and it's why when you say SNAAAAAAAAAAKE!... I say "SNAAAAAAKKKKUUUUUU!!!!!"

2022-01-24 14:46:09 Dude. I freaking love you man. I finally got to watch this this morning after wanting to watch all last night, but, well, life... You echoed my sentiments exactly. The presentation was everything a presentation should be, even if I didn't find very much to excite me. I'm mildly interested in Fire Emblem, but I didn't see much else. I don't have any friends so I don't get terribly excited about all of the multiplayer stuff. Directly in opposition though is my love for Nintendo. I may not have found much to love, but I'm super excited that others did. I'm still looking for Nintendo to get support from NiS/Falcom, Bandai/Namco, Atlus, and Square. I know I'm dreaming, but I want the 3rd party RPG lineup of the 3DS and Vita on the Switch. Anyway, your E3 coverage this year has been a blessing for me. I pray your vacation is super relaxing and calm and that you come back energized and refreshed. <3

Excellent. Agreed, the direct video announcement is definitely the way to go.

This direct was perfectly paced like you said. I am a huge Fire Emblem and Smash fan, so this direct was perfect for me. I understand however that if you didn’t like Smash, then it was a pretty big letdown. I do applaud Nintendo for being like Sony in holding back on showing games that aren’t ready or releasing anytime soon. Side Note: I know I’m late on saying this but I did really love your coverage of E3 this year. You presented everything so well, and honestly covered all the conference in a more thorough way then some of the outlets that had hours and hours of coverage (I should know because all I’ve been doing is watching E3 videos since Sunday). I know you are exhausted and deserve a long rest, but I know that you are such a hard worker will continue grinding. Just wanted to let you know how great your content was, and that E3 hadn’t been the same without your coverage.

Thank you for your kind words. It was exhausting doing that much content, and I don't really know if I'm done yet...
