Pop a coin into a nearby vending machine, take a seat, and join us for a lengthy chat all about Stellar Blade, the new Sony-published PlayStation 5 game from South Korean studio Shift Up. It's me (Colin) writing this, but taking up today's hosting mantle is none other than Summon Sign's Brad Ellis, joined by familiar faces Dustin Furman, Gene Park... and myself. So, we've all beaten the game and lived to tell the tale. But what did we think of the experience? There's a lot to get to: Gameplay, story, characters, design, music, and more. But there are a lot of issues in Stellar Blade's orbit that also warrant investigation: Shift Up's unusual second party setup with Sony, South Korea's burgeoning AAA market, the potential of a sequel, and more. So take some time with us to explore the ins-and-outs of a remarkable PS5 exclusive that we highly recommend, and remember that spoilers are rampant within.

Do not be afraid to utilize those guns! The Shotgun especially can stun bigger enemies and bosses for a few moments to get quick damage in similar to the grenades, I’m in Hard mode NG+ having a great time.

Something they touched on during the conversation was the prospect of a cross-over between Nier or Horizon with Stellar Blade; I really do think they would do a cross-over with Nier, especially because Shift-Up has already done a cross over with Nier and their game mobile game GoF:Nikke. I actually played that event and thought the cross-over was good, and that also makes me think they probably have sales numbers during that event. So maybe they'd have some sort of idea of what the cross over would bring them. Just a thought, loved hearing everyone's thoughts about the game. Good to know I was in good company.
