In mid-April, we at Last Stand published a nearly-four hour review discussion and spoilercast for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it was well-received (thank you for that). But there was a common request among many viewers and listeners: "We want Colin's opinion, too." Well, fine! I (Colin) am finally done with Rebirth after 89 hours, and while I may go back to clean up a few things, I'm pretty much satisfied. Well, more than satisfied, really. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is exceptional -- one of the best RPGs ever made, in fact -- and it moves effortlessly from strength to strength. From resonant storytelling and powerful characters to a living, breathing world and incredibly high stakes, Square Enix truly nailed it, which may not come as a surprise considering how good 2020's Remake itself was. I was grateful to have Summon Sign's Brad Ellis along with me for a couple of hours, as we worked our way through just some of what makes this adventure shine. And we admit that there's so much to say that we may just have to do another episode in the near-future, perhaps with your inquiries as the fuel.

Surprised there was no mention of the fantastic music and how some of it weaves itself into the story(ie Jenova Lifeclinger music).

Great episode. Can’t stop thinking about Rebirth, so I’m glad to still get content.

What’s sweeter than Brad asking Completionist Colin what he thought about all these different parts of the game that he completely missed?

You can mainline the game and be perfectly fine with the story but Col will never hear it. 😅

Travis B

Revive her with a clone like Chrono Trigger

Last Stand has been too slow to get into the conversation this past week. Helldivers and now Xbox. Not a peep.

Just beat it last night. Exact same time it took Colin to beat it. I loved every second of thos game. When Zach and Cloud come together for that one battle.... Man I felt like a little kid again.
