I think Chett may gave suffered abuse at the school he describes. I was just reading a reddit thread talking about a private school for "troubled kids" that will abduct them and put them in an abusive environment. It was called Elan School and it got shut down in 2011, but it's very hard to find anything related to repercussions to the people running the place. There's suspicion local law enforcement was in on it. Worth looking into since it sounds like Elan School was just one and there may be more like them!
