What's up guys - been a while, but I have a bunch of updates. First -- here's a commercial that we just shot in Lake Mead, Nevada to promote the currently 'Untitled Andrew Callaghan Film,' featuring a cameo from an old friend who has stayed solid through thick-and-thin.
I'm happy to say that on our end, we've been working tirelessly for 12+ hours every day on finishing our upcoming movie, which we're going to be releasing theatrically on a limited screening basis in 38 cities around the United States and Canada. Tickets to the screenings are available on our website at https://channel5.news/pages/untitled-film-tour ..
It's a unique marketing strategy, but it will all make sense at the finish line.
I figured i'd drop the commercial (and ticket link) here on Patreon before anywhere else, because these tix are likely to sell out quickly and I want to give you all the opportunity to get your hands on some if you so desire.
Anyways, there's a lot of other stuff going on too that has only been made possible because of your continuous monthly support. Perhaps most excitingly - we just opened up our first physical office! For the past four years, we've mostly edited videos from our house or worked off subpar laptops on the kitchen dinette of the RV, which has made things difficult. Honestly, the biggest lag in our efficiency has come from computer viruses, Adobe Premiere glitches, worn down RAM storage and graphics cards that make playback shoddy and ultimately, zap our creativity by way of tech frustration.
However, those days of glitches and bugs are over. Larry Susan put together an insane editing setup in our new office, so we're going to get to work on bringing you guys a ton of new content this month, with a particular emphasis on behind-the-scenes Patreon content that documents the lead-up to our national tour, as well as the actual production of the movie itself. Based upon the feedback from the 'C5 Newsroom' episodes, it seems like you guys really enjoy a peek behind the curtain into our day-to-day working lives, so we'll be sure to give you more of that.
ALSO - if you submitted a correspondent application, we did not forget. We're going to be reacting to all of your submissions later this week and putting together a Patreon mini-show called 'C5 Idol,' where we broadcast and critique our favorite submissions. There were over 400 submissions in total, but I narrowed it down to my 15 favorite ones and I can't wait to show you guys. The winners of the submissions context will be hired by us, and tasked with shooting documentaries and editing content while we're on tour and into the 2024 election season.
There's a lot of fun stuff going on and it's thanks to all of you. I hope all is well, and if you have any questions for me, I'll be active in the comments here.
Best,
Andrew Callaghan
