Kynareth
Preconditions: None.
Shrine blessing:
- Fortify Stamina: +25 stamina.
Tenets:
- Discover location: +5
- Learn word: +10
- Meditate: +1 per 100 stamina, x2 if Voice of the Sky
Taboos:
- The usual Divine clause about breaking the law.
Boon:
- Windwalker: +10% movement speed in combat.
Gift (100+ favor):
- Kynareth's Emissary: meditating allows you to summon a very special sabre cat mount. //To avoid a dialog box, it generates a little sparkle in front of you when you meditate, which you can activate to summon the sabre cat. It's a slightly opalescent blue variant that has increased turn radius, is 15% faster than a horse and can run on water.
Kynareth is actually a noncombat deity. You get a mount to show off and much like Jephre, gaining favour depends mainly on exploration. (Racial variants of deities, such as Kynareth/Kyne and Akatosh/Alkosh, will come in a post-release update.)
Arkay
Preconditions: None.
Shrine blessing:
- Fortify Health: +25 health.
Tenets:
- Perform Arkay's Rites: +10 // One in six enemies you kill are valid targets for Arkay's Rites. Activate the corpse to do an animation and ritually burn the corpse. You get XP and favor and the dead gets a peaceful departure.
- Kill necromancer: +5
- Kill undead: +1
Taboos:
- The usual Divine clause about breaking the law.
- Summon undead: -50
- Become undead: -1000
Boon:
- Chalice of Life: regenerate 1-4% of max health per second. The lower your health, the faster you regenerate.
Gift (100+ favor):
- Arkayn Cycle: come back to life when you die, but you need to meditate to use it again and it costs 25 favor.
The unique part about this deity is Arkay's Rites for a bit of roleplaying. Other bonuses are ok.
Nocturnal
Preconditions: Complete Nocturnal's quest.
Shrine blessing:
- Fortify Sneak: +10% sneaking.
Tenets:
- Pick a lock +2
- Pickpocket an item: +1
- Escape jail: +15
- Meditate: up to +2.5 based on lockpicking and pickpocket skill.
Taboos:
- None
Boon:
- Vanish in the Night: meditating causes a bounty of (favor) gold or less to be forgotten, but only if the bounty is for nonviolent crime. // The problem with misdemeanours such as pickpocketing and horse theft is that sooner or later you get caught regardless of skill, and then you have to deal with the hassle of disposing of stolen items or finding a paint shop to make your wanted level go down. This allows you to get rid of minor bounties as long as you can get away first.
Gift (100+ favor):
- Raven's Watch: meditating allows you to spy on the nearest person, weakening them to your thieving skills. // It uses the same sparkle mechanic as Kynareth and allows you to mind vision the nearest living target. You then get a 15% bonus to pickpocket/sneak/sneak attacks against them.
Nocturnal is unusual in that her boon is the better of the two abilities. It is too utilitarian to be a favor reward, and the actual favor reward is not as strong as some others but pretty immurshuve.
Mephala gets a version of it that also allows you to assume control of the target but with much reduced range and no thieving bonuses.
Malacath
Preconditions: Be orc; complete Malacath quest.
Shrine blessing:
- Fortify Power Attacks: Power attacks are 15% cheaper.
Tenets:
- Make item: +1
- Temper item: +1
- Kill epic enemy: +15 //Dragons, dragon priests, centurions, giants, trolls, wispmothers, mammoths, vampires, gargoyles, vampire lords, lurkers, the Ebony Warrior, and Miraak.
Taboos:
- Get a bounty with an orc stronghold: -25% of bounty gained.
Boon:
- Bitter Death: Power attacks deal (favor/5)% more damage.
Gift (100+ favor):
- Bloodsoaked Triumph: When an enemy dies within 40 feet, you get healed equal to overkill damage dealt, or their remaining health in case of a killmove.
Malacath is cool. Malacath wants you to hunt epic monsters. You get power attack bonuses. You get healed when people die. You go orc.
I'm one deity late because I got stuck on Sanguine for ages.
