The tentacles reaching out in all directions symbolizes the power and energy she associates with the parasite.  It’s a common thing for power in some form to be used to turn on a girl (wealth, muscle, etc.).  This time it is the physical strength, the mysterious alien nature and the animalistic intent.  It doesn’t speak, it doesn’t ask for permission.  These traits are often associated with authority, therefore power.
