I have revisited painting motion blur by hand.  It’s not as good as a Gimp effect but it’s quite inconvienent to prepare the file for Gimp for a single effect, and with enough practice it would be an extremely useful skill to be able to paint good motion blur.

In panel 2 one could imagine the bundle of worms wetly wipes across her face as it tries to fit in her belly.
