It is still genuinely nuts that none of the greens of the armour are GREEN. I know you say that this is down to the translucency of the paint, but how does this work? i.e. why would desaturating an orangey brown push read as green? It’s on the opposite side of the colour wheel. Is this an optical trick? Genuinely confused here 🙃

Black + yellow creates a desaturated olive green. The yellow-brown over black primer “blends” the colors to create a green shade. You can check yourself with any yellow and black.

This is a nice departure from the typical Death Guard paint schemes and methods. Very realistic.
